The HOME Investment Partnershiop Program was created as Title II of the Cranston-Gonzales National Affordable Housing Act and is administered by WCDA for the state. Since the spring of 1992, Wyoming has received over $56 million in HOME funds for the development of decent, safe, affordable housing for low- and very-low-income households.

WCDA receives an allocation of approximately $3.5 million in HOME funds. Applications are accepted through a competitive application process, usually in January. An allocation plan may be obtained by contacting WCDA or may be downloaded from this page, below. Units of local government, housing authorities, private developers and nonprofit organizations are encouraged to apply for HOME funds. Projects must be targeted to low- and very-low-income persons. Funds may be used for rental housing production, homeowner rehabilitation, and homebuyers assistance anywhere in Wyoming.

This program has had a major impact on some of the most critical housing needs in Wyoming and has served to finance housing in 29 communities across the state.

The Draft Affordable Housing Allocations Plan for the 2011 program year is now available for review.  There will be a Public Hearing on August 30th to describe the programs and to seek comments.  The comment period for these programs will remain open until September 9th.
